My dear sweet Allison: I know your pain very well. I was only 28 when I lost the love of my life. He was only 30. I tried to go to support groups for grieving people but I was the youngest one there, and I knew I didn't fit in. I was jealous that these people in the group got many years with their mates. I only got 9. We had 2 beautiful sons. They barely remember him. BUT my youngest has serious, serious problems, even though we went to counselling and everything. I have never been able to get over my soul mate, and finally now at 64, I stopped trying. Nobody on this planet can fill his shoes, give me back the closeness I only shared with him, or get all of my love, that I gave to only him. Every November 12, I grieve him deeply. I can't go to my job. I tell everyone to leave me alone and let me grieve. My sons do not feel this way on this day, so they leave me in peace. This day will forever be the worst day of the life God gave me. I am jealous that my beloved is in Heaven with God and not with me. I was so angry with God I couldn't speak to him for a long time. Now I know that if I ever want to see my beloved again, I need to love God and try to make sense of what doesn't make sense. God knows my struggles, my grief, my forever broken heart and life. I never wanted to spend the rest of my life without him. I still don't. I actually had an idea that if I could create a huge million dollar wedding that he would appear and marry me all over again, but I know death is death. I hate death so much. I want to destroy death. Death is my worst enemy, because death took my husband. I will never accept nor forgive death. People who have not lost someone at the young, tender age we were, will never understand these words. This is my first time seeing this as I went through a few of their videos. This was the best baby announcement I’ve ever seen. As I cry and smile watching, I think and about him and his deepest secret. He dealt with a silent killer that many deal with. I am one. To see my beautiful smile out in the public and in many of my videos where I am seen, many do not know that there are times I want to go away. Sometimes I do not know why. It has nothing to do with whether I’m happy, having the best day ever, or being on the highest platform. This illness is very real, and those that experiences it…hides it from others. This is an embarrassment. We do not want people to know we suffer in such a way. It puts a mark on your name. People will look at you differently, I posted this so hopefully people will kind of understand what this illness, which I call a silent killer will do. It’s a tormenting spirit; a tormenting illness. Sometimes it will show up at your happiest moment. Talking things out with a professional, helps sometimes…but not all the time. Taking meds will help sometimes. But, what helped me…I got on my knees and asked God to take over my life completely. My mind, my thoughts, everything. I asked Him to help me, and He did just that. I have now off depression medication that I had been taking for over 20+ years. I try to keep my eyes and mind focused on God. It is easy to fall back into that, and I don’t want to, especially with the happenings of today. I try to stay focused and stay strong. But please remember…a person can show so much happiness on the outside; but, in their minds are raging and influencing thoughts that they cannot control. Thoughts that are hidden from their loved ones. I thank God for helping me, and never leaving my side. I hope this helps many to understand… God bless you.
